So we're going to be talking about delegation, and what delegation looks like to me and, and how hopefully, you can delegate a little bit easier after watching this video today. So stay tuned for this one. My name is Remi. For those of you who don't know me, I am a business and a tech coach. That's why today is really important because delegation is a big part of what we do, or what we teach at the temple to help business owners who want to learn how to delegate for the first time or to delegate better, and be a bit of boss would be a better mentor to their team. Or to even greater team, we help you all of that stuff at the Online Business Temple. So let's talk about delegation. And what I wanted to do today is in this very, very quick video, is to share with you a way that you can get started with delegating. Work in your business so that you are not so busy, you are not so overwhelmed, you are not so frantic and frazzled, and faffing and procrastinating because you have so many things to do. This handy little tip is something you can do right now, you could literally start it right now. Or you could start it next week, it's up to you no pressure, grab yourself a notebook, grab yourself a pen. And the first thing that we do when it comes to delegating is we want to write down everything we are doing in an average day inside of our business. So from the minute you sit down at your desk, to the minute you shut your laptop, or you turn off your computer, I want you to write down all of the tasks that you do as a solo business owner in your business, emails, you know, Canva, graphic designs, video editing, accountancy, you know, delivering your services to your clients on a one to one basis. If your product base, you know, wrapping the products and going to the post office and sending those out creating invoices, receipts, anything that you do in your business, I want you to write that down into a epic task list.

And the reason we're going to do this is because I then want you to take the next step, which is to look at that list and make a decision on that list. What are the things that I hate doing? What are the things that I suck at doing? What are the things that take up most of my time, and either highlight them with a highlighter pen, or use a different colored pen and do a little mark or a check or a tick next to it so that you're highlighting the tasks that you want to delegate to someone else. And when we talk about delegating, you can outsource as a small business owner to somewhere like Upwork or Fiverr for just a few hours a week. Or if you wanted to hire somebody to come work for you on a part time basis, you can also do that. But using your your delegation list or the list of the task lists that you've just created. You are able to delegate those tasks to somebody else to do for you each week.

And I know a lot of small business owners when I'm talking to them about delegating, they often go well, I'm not earning enough money to bring on a team member I can't afford to bring on somebody into my business. Well actually, this is the truth of the situation that sometimes people just need to hear the hard truth is that when you delegate those tasks to someone else, you actually have more free time to do those income generating tasks to bring in more money into your business. Because you have the time, you're not spending hours on Canva or in a video editing software, or you know, in an accounting software, somebody else is doing that and you therefore have more time to make more money. And this is why we need to delegate it is super important that if you are busy, struggling, tired, you feel like you're at your desk all the time working, but you're not actually making enough money to live on. Then there needs to be some systemic changes that you need to make inside of your business. And my dog tells me this is a wrap.
